Scripture: Genesis 11:1-9

The first instance of divinely-caused confusion in the Bible is found in the story of the Tower of Babel. Humanity preferred to live without God and began to aspire through self and self-efforts to elevate them above their Creator. God stepped in and confused their language. Many times in our lives, God will allow things which look a lot like setbacks of resistance. Sometimes they feel like life-crushing setbacks. Other times, they DO in fact set us back. Only time and prayerful thought will reveal whether God was saving us from something and nudging us in the right direction. It could be that God is rerouting us onto a pathway of His choice
