Scripture: Jonah 3:4

Jonah finally made it to Nineveh and verse 4 says, “And Jonah began to enter the city on the first day’s walk. Then he cried out and said, ‘Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!’” A remarkable thing happened when Jonah began to preach – people actually heard it. They feared the Lord and believed God and I suspect Jonah’s testimony of being swallowed by the whale was enough to convince them they should listen to him. God knows how to give people a testimony in order to be heard and He certainly gave one of those testimonies to Jonah. I am sure it helped the Ninevites decide they needed to act on the words of Jonah. It is amazing the lengths that God will go to, to bring people to salvation. He is the Ultimate Savior!
