Scripture: Numbers 16:8-14

Numbers 16:8-14 says, “Then Moses said to Korah, ‘Hear now, you sons of Levi: Is it a small thing to you that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to Himself, to do the work of the tabernacle of the Lord, and to stand before the congregation to serve them; and that He has brought you near to Himself, you and all your brethren, the sons of Levi, with you? And are you seeking the priesthood also? Therefore you and all your company are gathered together against the Lord. And what is Aaron that you complain against him?’ And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram the sons of Eliab, but they said, ‘We will not come up! Is it a small thing that you have brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, that you should keep acting like a prince over us? Moreover you have not brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey, nor given us inheritance of fields and vineyards. Will you put out the eyes of these men? We will not come up!’” We find that this leadership crisis deepened until it nearly became civil war. Rest assured you and I will find ourselves in these situations. They are inevitable, regardless of whether we are in business, the church or whatever avenue we are called to. Conflict is inevitable. If we have walked biblically, with integrity and have developed our faith, then when we face such conflict, we have a platform from which we can ask God’s intervention. That platform is guaranteed to us by covenant. Are we ready to walk out that covenant day by day? If we build that platform we will always be ready, regardless of what comes our direction. Wisdom dictates that we choose to walk this way so we will always be ready whenever the conflict emerges. Moses was, Paul was, Samuel was. They all walked it in their season and they chose to walk it in faith and walk it in integrity. God was always there in protection and ready to move against their enemies. May it be the same with all of us as we move into the end-times where conflict is going to dramatically increase! When we see trouble approaching, wisdom says to get our houses in order. The time to prepare for such a season is now!
