Scripture: Numbers 16:1-3

Numbers 16:1-3 says, “Now Korah the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, with Dathan and Abiram the sons of Eliab, and On the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men; and they rose up before Moses with some of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty leaders of the congregation, representatives of the congregation, men of renown. They gathered together against Moses and Aaron, and said to them, ‘You take too much upon yourselves, for all the congregation is holy, every one of them, and the Lord is among them. Why then do you exalt yourselves above the assembly of the Lord?’” This is a leadership confrontation and a leadership war. An accusation is made against Moses and Aaron of motivation for taking a leadership position. Whenever someone challenges our leadership or calls us unqualified, then the foundation upon which we relate to God becomes the key to whether we get removed or they do. We walk with God in relationship obeying His directives which develop the character of Christ in us. If we walk in integrity with God, whenever we come into conflict with enemies, He will move against the enemy in our behalf. The consistent witness of Scripture is that when we walk with God in integrity, not only does He protect us in our position, but our prayer moves His Hand judicially. Faith for judgment comes from a pure foundation and only those who walk in integrity have it. What kind of foundation do we have in our relationship with the Lord? Does it match Moses, Paul and Samuel? They are all consistent and they all chose the same path. It is the path of faith. It is the path that lays the foundation that causes faith to work.
