TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 24
Scripture: Jeremiah 22:1-5

Jeremiah 22:1-5 says, “Thus says the LORD: ‘Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and there speak this word, and say, “Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, you who sit on the throne of David, you and your servants and your people who enter these gates! Thus says the LORD: ‘Execute judgment and righteousness, and deliver the plundered out of the hand of the oppressor. Do no wrong and do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, or the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place. For if you indeed do this thing, they shall enter the gates of this house, riding on horses and in chariots, accompanied by servants and people, kings who sit on the throne of David. But if you will not hear these words, I swear by Myself,’ says the LORD, ‘that this house shall become a desolation.’”‘” Israel was sick according to Jeremiah. America is sick just like Israel. We do violence. We shed innocent blood. Our institutions currently protect homosexual marriage when God says, no. America is sick and God told Israel, if you do not repent, I will bring you into captivity. In other words, I will send devastation and destruction on you. America is sick. If the church does not pray judgment on those who move against traditional marriage, then the whole nation will suffer beyond what is necessary. There is ‘cancer’ in the land and it needs to be cut out. We cut it out by praying judgments on those who are cancerous. If they refuse to repent, that is the issue of the offenders, not ours. You have to pray the judgment of God upon them. They have to be removed, especially the politicians and the judges that have disregarded truth and have become a law unto themselves. No one is out of reach of God. There is sickness in the nation but we can pray that the Great Surgeon cuts out the cancer and saves the ‘patient’. Jeremiah is attempting to do that in his declarations. We can do that by praying judicial prayers, prayers right out of the Psalms, the prayers that David prayed. Healing is available!
