SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28
Scripture: Colossians 1:28

Colossians 1:28 says, “Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.” It is interesting that this passage seems to unfold in such a way as to say to us, if we receive warning, then we are open to teaching. If we do not receive warning, then we are demonstrating an unteachable spirit that has been hardened by flesh or sin in some area. A person who has the humility to receive a warning is teachable. A person who will not receive a warning is demonstrating the areas in their life where they are not teachable. That should be a blinking, neon sign for anyone in ministry. Do not ever put anyone in leadership in the church who will not accept a warning! If they refuse warnings, they are probably unteachable in an area and that can be an open door for future problems.
