SUNDAY, MARCH 18
Scripture: Hebrews 6:1,2

Hebrews 6:1,2 states, “Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.” According to verse 2, there is a specific, foundational biblical doctrine of baptisms and the baptisms are plural, meaning there is more than one. To be precise, there are seven that we are going to deal with. You may find more, but we are going to deal very specifically with the seven foundational baptisms of fire that qualify us for the fruit of the seven Spirits of God. Each one is essential for growth and development into the fullness of Christ. The one thing we want to ask is that God will finish our preparational season and that He will help us fully cooperate with Him. If we ask for it, seek it and choose to walk it out, we hope to be positioned for the fullness of what God has for us. There are seven distinct baptisms of fire corresponding to the Seven Spirits of God!
