Scripture: Psalm 2, Acts 13:33,34, Revelation 2:26-29

There is nothing quite like Psalm 2 because it is a panoramic promise for what Jesus does in empowering the church to bring in an end-time harvest. A picture of the progressive fulfillment of Psalm 2 emerges in the New Testament. In Acts 4 the church agrees, invoking Psalm 2:1,2. God hears and answers. In Acts 13 the resurrected Christ guarantees David’s covenant of Sure Mercy for a harvest of nations. Psalm 2:9 appears in the book of Revelation. In Revelation 2, those who overcome passivity gain access to the rod of iron. Access to the rod of iron destroys all opposition to the harvest. Psalm 2 is the outline for possessing nations. The New Testament attests the core promises of Psalm 2 as an outline for the harvest. Do we have a contribution to that harvest in our generation? You and I are called to contribute to that harvest in our generation! Only if we qualify by ruling ourselves will we have access to the rod of iron so we can defeat the opposition to the harvest. How long will we allow unrighteous judges and perverse politicians to rule?
