Occasionally the Lord brings forth an issue that is so biblically clear and plain that even the least discerning saints among us, in whatever political party they may be, can understand the clarity of the issue. We find ourselves in such a place concerning a biblical issue based on Romans 1:22,23 and Genesis 1:28. After God created man He said in Genesis 1:28, “Then God blessed them, and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.’” God’s purpose for man was to have dominion. Romans 1:22-25 tells us, “Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.”

God intended man to rule animals. There are those among us who intend animals rule man. Which side should we take? One group of people is determined to reverse what God said and to give animals dominion over man rather than allowing man to have dominion over the animals. Romans is very clear about God’s view of people who elevate animals over man. People who take this position, qualify for, “…who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.” The Endangered Species Act has been used to cripple industries that the liberal left dislikes. As a Californian, I watched those who hated any kind of growth and development use a bird called the gnat-catcher in an attempt to cripple the building industry in California and destroy the economy with junk-science and the stupidity of making man subservient to a bird. The liberal loons succeeded getting the gnat-catcher listed on the Endangered Species act. Lo and behold, nearly two decades later, we have the same loons in the same political party poised to shut down 20% of domestic oil production because of a worthless animal called the sand-dunes lizard. Lawsuits were filed and Fish & Game caved in, fast-tracking the sand-dunes lizard.

Since I have been traveling to the Permian basin in Texas for over 20 years, I know people in that region who have reported their experience when confronting these nature-worshipers using junk-science to destroy the oil supply hurts everyone! When business owners asked government representatives, “Do you even care you are going to destroy every business in this area?” It was obvious by their response they did not. They are utterly deceived into thinking that their goal of saving a worthless lizard, which is not endangered in the first place, is worth shutting down 20% of the oil production in America. If there was ever an issue that highlights the difference between political parties and between people, it is this issue of, “Are we to subdue the earth, or are we to allow the earth to subdue us?” This administration has moratoriums on oil drilling in the east coast, west coast, the Gulf and Alaska – oil drilling is shut down in all four directions. It has done everything possible to cripple the exploration of new sources of domestic energy, driving the price of gasoline ever, ever higher. When the wicked rule, the righteous groan. There is no greater demonstration of the wickedness currently in power than the issue of the sand-dunes lizard and the shutting down of the oil exploration in the Permian basin in Texas. If there was ever a reason to pray the Davidic prayers of the Psalms over our enemies, it is now! When an administration cripples a nation it is time to demand covenant action! When abomination exceeds reason, it is time New Testament believers demand the God of Heaven avenge us of our enemies. May God avenge us as He avenged the early church of Herod. We have Herods ruling in America today and they need to meet the living God and be eaten by the very thing they want to worship and protect.
