THURSDAY, JANUARY 29
Scripture: John 1:21-23

John 1:21-23 says, “And they asked him, ‘What then? Are you Elijah?’ He said, ‘I am not.’ ‘Are you the Prophet?’ And he answered, ‘No.’ Then they said to him, ‘Who are you, that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about yourself?’ He said: ‘I am “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Make straight the way of the Lord,’” as the prophet Isaiah said.’” All four Gospels record the command to make straight the way of the Lord. Each one emphasizes a little different aspect, but they are all in agreement that we are called to do judgment in order to gain salvation. The question is, are we willing to say yes? It is time that we answered that call in this hour!
