Scripture: Esther, Exodus 14
Does God at times wait until the last moment to deliver His people? Frequently, yes He does. Look at the story of the Israelites delivered from annihilation at the hands of Haman and his treachery before King Artaxerxes. How can we not be mindful of the deliverance of the Israelites from the pursuit of Pharaoh during the flight from Egypt in the parting of the Red Sea! Look at Peter delivered from prison the night before his execution. Look at Paul’s numerous deliverances. Let’s recall the deliverance of the Jewish people in the 20th century from extinction at the hands of the Third Reich. Does God deliver His people? Indeed often He does. And do things look bleak before He delivers them? Yes, they usually do. Regardless the darkness of the moment, God’s gives to His people the resources to stand in stability, strength and hope through it all.
