Scripture: Romans 1:22

While we have not been directly carried off into captivity, we have watched too silently while the United States and Europe have been transformed into a Babylon-like culture. Many scholars point out that we are now living in a ‘Post Christian’ West. That expression should cause us to pause. Let’s remember that in the early church, God transformed fishermen into ministers and probably we should expect the same. The Holy Spirit selects and prepares ordinary people to do extraordinary things, like champion religious liberty. Could we expect the Holy Spirit to take a successful businessman and transform him into the most pro-life President in History? What do we consider possible and what do we consider impossible? What was the primary reason that this continent was settled? What was the primary reason America was ultimately founded? Did the Pilgrims of the Mayflower seek refuge to practice their faith? In every election it seems that religious freedom is on the ballot, and every year brings new challenges to our freedom before the Supreme Court. Satan is relentless in his efforts to destroy the Church, and we must be relentless in our resistance. Are we preparing to resist godless government if it comes to that?
