SATURDAY, JANUARY 25
Scripture: Philippians 3:17-19

In Philippians 3:17-19 we are told how people end up in destruction. The pathway there is to refuse to accept correction. Here Paul says, “Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern. For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame—who set their mind on earthly things.” What friendships have we developed and from whom can we accept correction? Who has the freedom to speak freely challenging us? It is first and foremost the job of the Holy Spirit. Jesus walked a life of receiving direction and guidance for overcoming! He learned obedience through the things He suffered. He always submitted to the Spirit. Nevertheless not My will but Thine be done. That is the yielding process…the will of God….submit…submit…submit! Bow, bow, bow, surrender, surrender, surrender! That is how we build a relationship with God. We keep ourselves open to correction and always choose the path of surrendering to our Father. We do all this with a humble heart! That is our inheritance. We have an anointing for it. Let’s accept it and walk it out.
