MONDAY, JULY 30
Scripture: Numbers 16:41-50

Not much time has elapsed between the death of Korah, Datham and Abiram and the additional errant leaders. Not even a full day. We are told in this passage, “On the next day all the congregation of the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, saying, ‘You have killed the people of the Lord.’ They were accusing Moses of causing their death, yet Moses was simply trying to finish his ministry in obedience to God. Moses prayed—God killed. That is how it worked! He prayed and God struck them. “Now it happened, when the congregation had gathered against Moses and Aaron, that they turned toward the tabernacle of meeting; and suddenly the cloud covered it, and the glory of the Lord appeared.” The amazing thing about the glory of the Lord in the life of Moses was that it always showed up when Moses was threatened. The glory repeatedly came to preserve Moses by killing the enemy. That is why the glory manifested as seen when the Egyptians lay dead on the Red Sea. The glory killed Korah, Datham and Abiram. And now the congregation has again risked coming against Moses. “Then Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of meeting. And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ‘Get away from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.’ And they fell on their faces. So Moses said to Aaron, ‘Take a censer and put fire in it from the altar, put incense on it, and take it quickly to the congregation and make atonement for them; for wrath has gone out from the Lord. The plague has begun.’ Then Aaron took it as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the assembly; and already the plague had begun among the people. So he put in the incense and made atonement for the people. And he stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped. Now those who died in the plague were fourteen thousand seven hundred, besides those who died in the Korah incident. So Aaron returned to Moses at the door of the tabernacle of meeting, for the plague had stopped.” This is a picture of what you and I are supposed to look like in the last days. God purposes us to be a people who carry the anointing of God to start a pestilence or a plague or a strike in order to gain a harvest. This is the kingly and priestly operating together! Why do we walk in holiness? We walk in holiness because it is the seedbed of our relationship with God producing faith for the miraculous. God maintains our lot and He gives us a harvest.
