MONDAY, JUNE 25
Scripture: Isaiah 6:4-8

In Isaiah 6:4-8 when the glory is encountered we are told, “And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke. So I said, ‘Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The LORD of hosts.’ Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth with it, and said: ‘Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purged.’ Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: ‘Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?’ Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me.’” When the glory of the Lord comes, everything that can be shaken will be shaken. This is the literal, physical experience of the prophet Isaiah in a vision where what God did for him is the very same thing that Jesus did for us. Isaiah’s iniquity was taken away and his sin purged. Isaiah was made holy just as Ephesians 1:4 declares us to be. The coal touched his lips, he was made holy and what came immediately after? He got the revelation that he was holy. The Lord Himself said, “Whom shall I send, And who will go for us?” And he had the empowering grace to say, “Here am I! Send me.” After being given the gift of holiness, Isaiah had the God-confidence to say, ‘Send me! I’m ready. I know God! I can demonstrate the Judge and the Savior.’ The goal is that as the Sonship Gifts take root in our hearts we will all be able to say, ‘Send me!’
