SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 12
Scripture: Numbers 18:19-24

Numbers 18:19-24 says, “‘All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer to the Lord, I have given to you and your sons and daughters with you as an ordinance forever; it is a covenant of salt forever before the Lord with you and your descendants with you.’ Then the Lord said to Aaron: ‘You shall have no inheritance in their land, nor shall you have any portion among them; I am your portion and your inheritance among the children of Israel. ‘Behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tithes in Israel as an inheritance in return for the work which they perform, the work of the tabernacle of meeting. Hereafter the children of Israel shall not come near the tabernacle of meeting, lest they bear sin and die. But the Levites shall perform the work of the tabernacle of meeting, and they shall bear their iniquity; it shall be a statute forever, throughout your generations, that among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance. For the tithes of the children of Israel, which they offer up as a heave offering to the Lord, I have given to the Levites as an inheritance; therefore I have said to them, “Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.”’” We find that when God instituted the tithe that He made it a covenant of salt forever. He gave the tithes to the Levites for the work that they would do in the Tabernacle of meeting. We find that today we can participate in this financial covenant that Jesus died to make available. One requirement for walking in the judicial is in the covenant of the tithe. As we choose to walk in God’s covenant of the tithe we have access to the authority that Jesus purchased for us. We have access to the Throne-Room where we can pray the will of God and see His provision. Just as the Levites were a gift to Aaron in the Old Covenant, the five-fold ministries are a gift to the body of Christ in the New and this truth of the access point of the tithe carries all the way through into the New Testament. We know that because God is a Covenant-Keeper not a covenant breaker. He has never broken a covenant. He keeps His covenant to a thousand generations. The tithe is just as active and valid today as it was two thousand years ago. Let’s participate in this covenant and lift up every tithe and offering we sow in the Throne-Room. Let’s pray in the Spirit over every dollar and lay the foundation necessary to represent all of Who God is!
