Scripture: John 16:7-11

John 16:7-11 says, “Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.” When the Holy Spirit has come, He will convict the world of sin, righteousness and of judgment. The very same thing Abraham did and that Isaiah said Jesus will do through us is exactly what Jesus said the Holy Spirit will do when He comes upon us. He will establish a plumbline of righteousness and judgment and the Holy Spirit will carry it out. One way is by praying in tongues. How developed are we in using our prayer language? If we are not very developed, our path is clear – pray in the Spirit! God ordained that Christ be established in us by praying in the Spirit, so we can make a choice to grow up in the fullness of Christ and walk in all He ordained us to be! God is no respecter of persons and it is available to everyone. This is a significant part of God’s path for the development of Christ in us. Let’s embrace it, walk in it and reap the rewards of the Holy Spirit!
