WEDNESDAY, MARCH 15
Scripture: 2 Peter 1:10

2 Peter 1:10 says, “Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble;…” Here we have the same point being made and diligence is addressed again. We are not to let these truths slide or be slack. Remember we do not want to open a door to a curse! God provides a way to make our calling and election sure for if we do these things the Bible says we will not stumble. We can walk in the Spirit so that we never permanently stumble or fall to the place of being disqualified. We may stumble but not to the point of disqualification. The Greek word translated “stumble” is ppah-yo and means, ‘To offend, to stumble or sometimes primarily to err or mistake but there’s always a recovery.’ We cannot be tripped into an unrecoverable fall. Praying in the Spirit will keep us from that degree of failure. This is an incredible gift we cannot afford to neglect!
