WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 24
Scripture: Acts 20:31-35

Verses 31-25 says, “Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears. So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified. I have coveted no one’s silver or gold or apparel. Yes, you yourselves know that these hands have provided for my necessities, and for those who were with me. I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Paul in effect says the exact same thing that Samuel and Moses said. In verse 33 he said, “I have coveted no one’s silver or gold or apparel…” and it sounds very much like “I have not taken, I have not hurt.” He said to the church he had shown them how to walk and given them an example of how to do it. And the Bible has shown us how to walk it out. The question is, are we going to step up to the plate and walk it out as well? God wants us moving toward this place. He is ready, are we? I trust we are moving in the right direction! It will get exciting in the last days if we get there! We will see redemptive, judicial events. We will see much confrontation and even more Kingdom victory, in Jesus’ name!
