THURSDAY, MARCH 31
Scripture: Matthew 24:40-44, Revelation 3:3

In Matthew 24:40-44 we are told, “Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” In this passage, the thief that is taking people away are the angels executing God’s judgment. It is just like the church at Sardis in Revelation 3:3 where the Lord says, “Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.” The thief that Matthew is talking about is God’s judgment. The angel that takes people away in the last days is the angel of God’s judgment. The culture is going to be like it was in the days of Noah, and only the righteous will be able to stand. Only the righteous will be able to stand in the Day of Judgment. Are we going to be able to stand in the midst of judgment? God says we will, but the question is, are we preparing ourselves?
