FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 20
Scripture: Exodus 20::16

In commandment number nine we are instructed not to bear false witness against a neighbor, nor to tell any lie concerning our neighbors. Neither are we to accuse them falsely. As mature believers we aim to be people of absolute, utter, total, complete integrity. This truth is reinforced in Psalm 15. In this Psalm we are instructed in climbing the holy hill of God. We are told to do no evil to our neighbor. If we are willing to be people of complete honesty, then the blessing is, we get to move forward and qualify for doing judgment. The Ten Commandments are just as valid now as they ever were. Jesus made it very clear that He did not come to do away with the Law and the prophets but He came to fulfill them. The Biblical standard for morality is outlined in the commandments and then amplified throughout the Word but this is certainly a major part of biblical morality. “A false witness shall not go unpunished, And he who speaks lies shall perish.” We do not want to perish, therefore we must speak truth!
