Scripture: Exodus 19:20-22, 12

Exodus 19:20-22 says, “Then the Lord came down upon Mount Sinai, on the top of the mountain. And the Lord called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up. And the Lord said to Moses, ‘Go down and warn the people, lest they break through to gaze at the Lord, and many of them perish. Also let the priests who come near the Lord consecrate themselves, lest the Lord break out against them.’” It is interesting that the Lord told Moses twice to sanctify, wash and be ready. The third time was followed by a warning about judgment. Exodus 19:12 says, “You shall set bounds for the people all around, saying, ‘Take heed to yourselves that you do not go up to the mountain or touch its base. Whoever touches the mountain shall surely be put to death.” That brings us to an interesting subject. Given the condition of this nation that most likely reflects the condition of the church, would we suspect that God may be about ready to break out and deal with the leaders? What will God do if the condition of the church is a mirror image of our nation’s leadership and consequently that is why we are in danger of losing the nation? What if the compromise that comes through the spirit of mammon in church leaders trying to create something successful is, in actuality harming the church rather than helping it? What will God have to do in order to get leaders to say what He wants said and do what He wants done? What kind of transformation are we going to have to see in the church? The Father wants to embrace and flow through a Bride that is without spot or wrinkle. The way of the Lord is righteousness and judgment! Can we represent the Judge?
