FRIDAY, JANUARY 16
Scripture: Psalm 18:16-21

Psalm 18:16-21 says, “He sent from above, He took me; He drew me out of many waters. He delivered me from my strong enemy, From those who hated me, For they were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my calamity, But the Lord was my support. He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me. The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me. For I have kept the ways of the Lord, And have not wickedly departed from my God.” In this Psalm of David, we find God on David’s side. Verses 20,21 tell us why, “The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me. For I have kept the ways of the Lord, And have not wickedly departed from my God.” David tells us why God was with him and gave him tremendous victory. It was simple. David chose to keep the way of the Lord. And because he kept the way of the Lord, the blessing of God was his.
