FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7
Scripture: Romans 8:12,13

Romans 8:12,13 says, “Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.” Romans 8:12,13 makes it very clear that if we are going to follow Christ, we have to choose the path of the Spirit that brings us into conflict with what our body wants to do. The dimension to which we are willing to follow that path dictates the degree of success we will have in Christ. Are we willing to say yes to the crucifixion path of the Holy Spirit? It is the only pathway to power in the realm of the Spirit. If we are going to pray the prayers that save nations, then we have to let God lead us to the place where we are out of the way because we yield to the Cross. Following Christ means yielding to the Cross. If we say yes to that, then we can walk in the full measure of what He has for us. If we do not, then we expand the crucifixion of the preparational season!
