September 2014 Outcry

The emergence of Isis is one sign that highlights the reality of Revelation 22:11, “He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.”

Richard Francis Weymouth in his translation of the New Testament says the Greek word translated “still” means ‘The crystallization and development of character until each individual perfectly reflects the god they serve.’  If the actions of Isis represent the true teaching of the god they serve and apparently do when literal interpretation is applied to the Koran.  The entire book of Revelation speaks to the emergence of antichrist leaders and governments.  Whether in church or in government, what is rooted in the heart is emerging to be seen by all!  If the most antichrist leader in America’s history rules the land, what must the church look like to fulfill Revelation 22:11?  Is the church as committed to God as Isis is to the Koran?  Does America’s condition reflect the condition of the church?

Our current condition is the fruit of supporting antichrist politicians which means our nuclear deterrent arsenal is now nearly gone, our missile shield is gone, the Marine Corps many have cherished is completely diminished and nearly gone.  The Navy, where I served, is greatly diminished and both the cruise and hellfire missiles on which the fleet depended for initial use in conflict are being phased out of production.  One defense analyst said, “The White House might as well hang out a sign saying, ‘Attack me because I cannot fight back!’”  All the weapons systems on which we once depended have been cancelled or are no longer supported.  Every hostile nation is encouraged to move out in conquest of new territory – Russia taking Crimea and moving out in the Ukraine, China claiming great territory in the South China Sea, Iran beginning to dominate the Middle East as America retreats into an entitlement society!

The unjust and the filthy have grown more unjust and filthy and so have the policies and the fruit of those policies which brought Isis to the forefront.

Is Isis in America?  Why wouldn’t they be, with the open border policy of this increasingly filthy and vile leadership?  What is a Christian to do?  Genesis 18:19 says God knew Abraham in order that he would, “…do righteousness and judgment…”  Isaiah 9:7 says the government of Christ shall increase without end because Jesus sits, “Upon the Throne of David and over His Kingdom to order it and establish it with judgment and justice….”  Isaiah 56:1 says, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Keep justice, and do righteousness, For My salvation is about to come, And My righteousness to be revealed.’

God is clear about what we should do – pray judgment just as David did when his kingdom was threatened!  The filthy and the vile are increasing to a visibility that demands a biblical response!  Pray judgment as David did, declare and decree as led by the Spirit and I trust we will see the Hand of the Lord sweep  away the perverse and the vile!  Death and Hell were made for the rebellious.  Their shedding of innocent blood and promotion of what God abhors may well earn them early termination!  If there is one Scripture the church can pray with a clear conscience, it is Psalm 5:4-10, “For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, Nor shall evil dwell with You. The boastful shall not stand in Your sight; You hate all workers of iniquity. You shall destroy those who speak falsehood; The LORD abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man. But as for me, I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy; In fear of You I will worship toward Your holy temple. Lead me, O LORD, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; Make Your way straight before my face. For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; Their inward part is destruction; Their throat is an open tomb; They flatter with their tongue. Pronounce them guilty, O God! Let them fall by their own counsels; Cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions, For they have rebelled against You.”
