Scripture: Jeremiah 11:18-21

Jeremiah 11:18-21 states, “Before your pots can feel the burning thorns, He shall take them away as with a whirlwind, As in His living and burning wrath. The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance; He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked, So that men will say, ‘Surely there is a reward for the righteous; Surely He is God who judges in the earth.’” Jeremiah was under assault. He was commanded not to prophesy anymore. So how does God respond when the enemy says, “You cannot pray in school. You cannot pray in public. You cannot post signs of Christianity on government grounds. Nativity scenes are not allowed.”? How does God respond and how should we respond when the enemy commands us to bow? We know how God responds! But what is our part in it? There is a Judge, but does anyone see Him? Does anyone see the judgment that is coming? Is the church even asking? Or are we turning our cheek and letting things unfold as they will? Perhaps we need to change what we are praying.
