Scripture: John 8:1-11

In John 8:1-11, we meet a woman caught in the very act of adultery and the Pharisees determine to stone her. Jesus intervenes and He brings pastoral forbearance. It concludes with the Lord saying, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” Jesus made it very clear that sin has a penalty. Forbearance and the grace of God only goes so far. But if we continue to break God’s covenant, then we guarantee His judicial intervention.
