Scripture: Revelation 19:15

Revelation 19:15 says, “Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.” When we get to the last part of verse 15, we find that Jesus is going to rule with a rod of iron. The Greek word ‘rule’ is the culmination of why Christ came. Ruling with a rod of iron is defined, in the latter part of verse 15. It is poy-mah-ee-no. Poy-mah-ee-no is the word for Shepherd. We find that Jesus, as the great Shepherd, has for fifty years been edited out of the majority of our pulpits. Thank God there is a remnant. But right now, what does His ‘rule’ look like? How clear is verse 15 when it says, “He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.”? Jesus does that. Jesus is going to demonstrate ruling with a rod of iron through His church in the days ahead. So the question has to be asked: Do we feel comfortable praying a rod of iron into manifestation? Do we know how? Do we feel comfortable praying a rod of iron onto the scene when it is needed? If we do not, we better spend some time with these Scriptures.
