FRIDAY, DECEMBER 9
Scripture: 1 Chronicles 21:26-30

David built the altar and called upon the name of the lord. God answered by fire and the angel returned his sword to its sheath. When David called, the sword returned to rest. The fear of the lord was established in the land and most of all, established in the heart of David. Do we realize that in our covenant with God, we have access to a Sword of the Lord? The purpose is to bring a harvest of repentance and stop the spread of evil. It is a simple issue of prayer. It was for David and it is for us. David prayed numerous times and the sword was unsheathed! This is a picture of what should routinely occur in the temple, “Whose temple we are!”
