Scripture: Genesis 6:5-7

Genesis 6:5-7 gives us the foundation for the Jesus whose robe is dipped in blood. It says, “Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So the LORD said, ‘I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.’” At the point when men’s actions were only evil continually, God responded to the cry of creation for relief. Sowing and reaping is justice in action. Sowing to the flesh destroys the flesh. Do we see God’s judicial hand in action? Nations need relief from politicians whose actions are evil continually. Prayer moves God to intervene! A Christian who cannot move God’s hand to intervene needs remedial Bible 101 training!
