Scripture: Matthew 16:6-9

The astounding thing about the unjust servant is he uses manipulation and mammon in order to ensure himself of position in the hearts and lives of people rather than obeying God. This steward chooses to build for himself. That choice sets him against God and brings the judicial hand of God on his head – he can no longer be a steward. Suddenly he is called into account and this account is putting a stop to what he is doing. This is a picture of where we do not want to be. This is a picture of a man who could have gone a different direction but chose the selfish path. We are not wasting our time, we are allowing God to separate the chaff from the wheat, we are being faithful in our money, we are giving where God says to give and we are standing ready to walk with Him into the fullness of what He has ordained. This is the God of the Bible who brings us into His fullness.
