Scripture: Exodus 19:9-11

Exodus 19:9-11 states, “And the LORD said to Moses, ‘Behold, I come to you in the thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and believe you forever.’ So Moses told the words of the people to the LORD. Then the LORD said to Moses, ‘Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes.  And let them be ready for the third day. For on the third day the LORD will come down upon Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.”  The process of believe, sanctify, wash and be ready are repeated warnings that occur two more times before God shows up.  It is obvious that in order to accept the relationship that was offered as a Kingdom of priests, the key was to believe, sanctify, wash and be ready.  Unfortunately they were not as ready as they thought.  When He arrived, God scared the living daylights out of them.  Are we ready to walk with Jesus the Judge?  Are we ready to bring the fire of His judgment into the places where it needs to go?  Are we ready to carry it into the midst of the enemy’s camp?  If we cannot stand in the fire, we cannot carry it where it needs to go in this nation.
