Scripture: Isaiah 59:17-19

After Jesus became the King and spoiled principalities and powers we see the process of what He promises and the ongoing warfare of the church to dispossess the enemy from the earth just as Jesus dispossessed their authority.  Verses 17-19 state, “For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, And a helmet of salvation on His head; He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, And was clad with zeal as a cloak. According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, Fury to His adversaries, Recompense to His enemies…”  Is that what we are praying?  No!   We spend all of our time being Priestly and blessing our enemies when we should be following the Spirit in the demand for covenant justice and recompense to fully repay according to their deeds.  Verse 19 says “So shall they fear The name of the LORD from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun…”  Among many, there is no fear from the west to the east in America; zero fear of God.  Why?  Not because God doesn’t expect there to be, but because the church has simply not done the Word.  “…When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him.”  The standard against the enemy is supposed to be the church demanding covenant intervention.  When God intervenes, the fear of the Lord is restored.  Welcome to the new army – the army of God!
