March 2005 Outcry

As we move deeper into the end-times, we will see the maturing in fullness of the messianic ministry of Jesus outlined in Isaiah 1:18-26.

‘Come now, and let us reason together,’ Says the LORD, ‘Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.  If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;  But if you refuse and rebel, You shall be devoured by the sword’;  For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.  How the faithful city has become a harlot! It was full of justice; Righteousness lodged in it, But now murderers. Your silver has become dross, Your wine mixed with water.  Your princes are rebellious, And companions of thieves; Everyone loves bribes, And follows after rewards. They do not defend the fatherless, Nor does the cause of the widow come before them.  Therefore the Lord says, The LORD of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel, ‘Ah, I will rid Myself of My adversaries, And take vengeance on My enemies. I will turn My hand against you, And thoroughly purge away your dross, And take away all your alloy. I will restore your judges as at the first, And devour counselors as at the beginning.  Afterward you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city.’

The context of this passage indicates the defilement of the land bringing judgment was very close to what we are experiencing in America today.  Sexual perversion was rampant as verse 29 indicates and the culture had been captured by the spirit of mammon.

In verse 24, God makes an amazing statement which needs some definition because it seems “out of character”, “Ah, I will rid Myself of My adversaries, And take vengeance on My enemies.”  Deuteronomy 28:63 is the parallel verse which states, “And it shall be, that just as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good and multiply you, so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you and bring you to nothing; and you shall be plucked from off the land which you go to possess.”  It is hard to imagine God rejoicing over the destruction of man but this Jesus is clearly seen in Revelation.

The Supreme Court has legislated more destruction on this nation than any other branch of government.  It is almost as if Isaiah saw the warfare over the judiciary for godly nations. God promises to turn His hand against the judges and thoroughly remove them.  Can we find anyone who will go into the Throne Room armed with these covenant promises and proclaim them!?  Let the word of the Lord manifest for the United States of America !

May the Lord restore our judges as at the beginning!
