Scripture: Matthew 10:21-22

These verses declare that a war is coming and may even come to our own house. The key is, will we endure to the end? Some believers are going to be martyred in the last days. We need to prepare for that. The promise is, nobody can take us out until we have finished our race! It was true of Jesus and it will be true of us. One of the most exciting seasons in the Bible is the season of the revealing of the Two Witnesses mentioned in Revelation. Currently it looks like the world is adopting anti-Christ positions galore. As things get really, really bad and persecution increases, God will come and anoint His witnesses. Then God will anoint and empower them and no one can take them out prematurely. God will sustain them until they have finished their race. The heat and fire of persecution come with a promise stated in verse 22. “But he who endures to the end will be saved.” We persevere and endure because it is necessary. This is nothing we shoulder alone. We do it out of relationship with our Dad!
