Scripture: Acts 10:45-48

In verses 45-48 we are told, “And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Then Peter answered, ‘Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?’ And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they asked him to stay a few days.” God honored Peter’s witness by filling people with the Holy Spirit and they were born into the Kingdom. That is why God called him. He was bold enough to speak up when it was time. God is looking for that in us! He wants us to be both bold and obedient at the right time. I trust we will! That is partly why we were chosen. Our willingness and obedience matter to God!
