SUNDAY, OCTOBER 21
Scripture: 2 Samuel 12:13-14

In 2 Samuel 12:13-14 David acknowledged his sin and the Lord put it away and then David found out what the judgment was going to be on the child who was a product of their sin. Verse 14 says, “However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you shall surely die.” And when their son was born he became sick and died. King David had to walk through not only the shame but the judgment that followed! The judgment included the pain and heartache of losing their child. David walked that out honorably! He did it biblically, he did it covenantly and he ultimately got rewarded by God for it as the Scripture declares!
