Scripture: Daniel 1:3-4

Church tradition estimates that Daniel was a youth in his early teens when he was carried off to Babylon. Daniel was of noble blood and it’s possible he was educated and formed in his faith BEFORE he was taken into exile in Babylon. Daniel’s story is not a story of a Jewish boy who found God in the midst of an evil empire, but of a Godly boy who brought God’s light with him into the heart of ancient darkness. For countless centuries, the education of children was the province of the family. Some youth would be apprenticed to learn a trade, but worldview, especially, was always inculcated and developed by the family, until the public education system was established in the United States and Great Britain in the early 1900s. Only God can reverse what schools have done in corrupting and destroying our kids through lies and false history. God’s Hand is clearly seen in our founding and He preserves us for a divine purpose! May we see that purpose recovered!
