MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 3
Scripture: Matthew 10:24-31

Jesus was instructing the twelve and He said, “A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. It is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call those of his household! Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known. Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” If we’re going to represent Christ and His Word then as verse 26 says, “Therefore do not fear them. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” There is a life-key here-do not fear men! Do not fear men even those threatening to kill us. When we are faced with doing the will of God or being silent based on fear of man we must always do the will of God. That is not always easy! We must always speak up and always say what God wants us to say. The minute we bow to fear and compromise God’s Word is the minute that we enter into sin and will have to repent for it and somehow go back and recover from it. We all know the Word says we can’t serve both God and money. Well, we can’t serve God and fear of man either. We dare not diminish the Word based on fear of man!
