FRIDAY, JULY 13
Scripture: 2 Kings 6:18-20, 1 Samuel 7:13b, Ephesians 3:10

Elisha’s servant was worried when they were surrounded by the Syrian army. What does Elisha do? Because he has maintained holiness in his relationship with the Lord and has walked in obedience, Elisha prayed this prayer! 2 Kings 6:18-20 says, “So when the Syrians came down to him, Elisha prayed to the Lord and said, ‘Strike this people, I pray, with blindness.’ And He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.” Elisha walked in the anointing to strike his enemies. Passover was given to celebrate this aspect of covenant! Tradition has stripped the Word of its power! Are we willing to walk with God in a way that maintains our ability to strike our enemies? Now there is the real question facing the church. Jesus bought our holiness with His blood. Once we accept Christ, our assignment is to maintain what Jesus purchased. Elisha understood obedience and righteousness kept his covenantal relationship in tact! As long as he preserved his relationship with God, he could pray or prophesy and move God’s Hand. Samuel understood this principle. 1 Samuel 7:13b declares, “And the Hand of the Lord was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel!” Are we moving God’s Hand? Ephesians 3:10 declares God’s purpose for the Church! Will we show principalities and powers that they don’t rule?
