Scripture: 2 Samuel 15:7-12

In 2 Samuel 15:7-12 Absalom begins to foment rebellion and the second part of the judicial word that the Lord spoke to King David is now coming to pass. Absalom was planning to take the Kingdom away from David because what he did in secret God is now going to be broadcast openly. But, God was going to deliver him from it. Absalom recruited Ahithophel, David’s best friend and counselor from the city of Giloh where Absalom offered sacrifices. The conspiracy grew strong for the numbers of those drawn to Absalom continually increased. David lost his army. David lost Israel. The men sided with Absalom! David was going to temporarily lose Jerusalem, but he had a covenant of Sure Mercy. Does God redeem our failures? What must we do when we lose everything? The answer is, we seek God and we pray!!
