Scripture: James 1:21

James 1:21 is a great verse and it is good advice for all seven mountains. It says, “Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.” Finally we are looking at number seven of the seven mountains and that is business. Are businesses better off today than they were 43 years ago? Years ago the majority of the largest businesses in America supported Godly organizations like the Boy Scouts. Today many of our wealthiest businesses champion that which the Bible calls sin. Amazon is one of many examples, owning the Washington Post and assaulting truth daily with fake news designed to destroy a president. There is no fear of God in these businesses. There is something quite obvious when we look at the seven mountain strategy considering that it was a great strategy. Where is the problem? The problem has to be in the implementation. What did we not do that we could have done? What do we have to compare ourselves with? We have the New Testament. What did the early church do that we have not done that might have impacted these seven vital areas of society and culture? Is there a change that we can make? The question is, will we do it? That is a choice we are all faced with. What did Peter and Paul do that we have not done?
