Scripture: 1 Corinthians 14:17-20

1 Corinthians 14:17-20 says, “For you indeed give thanks well, but the other is not edified. I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all; yet in the church I would rather speak five words with my understanding, that I may teach others also, than ten thousand words in a tongue. Brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be babes, but in understanding be mature.” Paul is saying that our prayer language is a preparational language. It prepares us to deal with the issues of people. It prepares us to deal with governmental and political and cultural issues. It prepares us to deal with disobedience, even national disobedience. Praying in tongues brings us into a power that will deal with government officials. The failure of the church in part goes right to the failure to use a vital tool that God intended would ground us in His wisdom. The activation and use of this gift will yield results and the time is now!
