SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 6
Scripture: Judges 7:1-7

Gideon gathered a whole army of people, 32,000 men. God said it was too large an army for Him to get the credit. God told Gideon to tell the people who were fearful that they could leave, and 22,000 people left. The Lord said that 10,000 men was still too many and told Gideon to bring the people to the water. And God said the number of those who drink by putting their head to the water and lapping with their tongue as a dog laps that He would set apart for Himself. And God said the number of those who drink by putting their hand to their mouth were to leave. At the end, only 300 men lapped as a dog lapped and Gideon had his select number of men who would walk in faith with him. God has to separate those who walk in faith from those who will not. Separation is a process and can take time. We have to be willing to yield to the process of separation so we can tell who we can walk with in this assignment and who we cannot. Gideon had to let that process play out. Are we willing to let that process play out?
