Scripture: Psalm 2:6-9, Isaiah 11:1-4

Psalm 2:6-9 says, “‘Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree:’ The Lord has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’” God intends to give us a harvest of cities and nations. When someone is trying to destroy our harvest field, our obligation when we are led by the Spirit is to break them with a Rod of Iron in prayer. When we are prompted, we have to dash them to pieces like a potters vessel in our prayer closet. The words translated “break” and “dash” mean breaking something so that there is no hope of recovery and shattering something and throwing it into the air so the pieces are blown away and can never be reconstituted. This is Isaiah 11:1-4 in action. If we are going to subdue kingdoms, we are going to have to pray prayers like King David prayed. We can only pray prayers and see results like King David if we build the faith and foundation that he had.
