Scripture: Hebrews 11:26,27

Hebrews 11:24-27 says, “By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward. By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible.” When Moses came of age, he embraced God’s will and left his pleasant, easy lifestyle in Egypt. Verse 26 says he esteemed the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt. Moses made a faith-choice that going with God would be better than staying in all the position and comfort he enjoyed in Egypt. So he left for a life of obedience, service and potential suffering. And that is what faith does for us – it enables us to say, ‘God, I am going to walk with You. I do not care what it looks or feels like; I am going to walk with You.’ I believe if we do that, we will see some awesome things.
