Scripture: Proverbs 13:17

Proverbs 13:17 says, “A wicked messenger falls into trouble, But a faithful ambassador brings health.” The fruit of being faithful to what God calls us to do promises a pathway to health and healing. It does not mean that we will not be attacked or that we will never face sickness or disease, but the promise is that God will bring us through with victory so that we finish our race with honor. Therefore, Proverbs 13:17 is a verse worth memorizing, meditating on and speaking into our heart until we begin to see its fruit. Another aspect of this particular verse that can be of great value is that we can become an ambassador of healing ourselves. We can carry God’s healing words in prayer in behalf of others. By standing in the gap for others we can be ambassadors of freedom. The right word spoken at the right season has the power to change the atmosphere and bring life and healing.
