Scripture: Isaiah 11:1-4

Isaiah 11:1-4 says, “There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots. The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. His delight is in the fear of the Lord, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears; But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.” If we are going to move in the Spirit judicially like David, what will we look like? One of the first things to understand is that we cannot judge by the sight of our eyes or the sound of the hearing of our ears. But with righteousness, we have to wait for the voice of the Spirit to judge the poor and decide with equity for the meek of the earth. Only then can we activate our covenant. It is a Spirit-and-Word-united operation. We must be delivered from our flesh ruling! What shall we do but study the Word and be led by the Spirit. It is the only way to represent Christ and it is the only way to activate covenant in the latter days. Will we allow the Lord to strike the earth when needed with the Rod of His Mouth and will we be the breath of His Lips that slays the wicked? It is possible and I believe God is ready. But are we?
