November 2014 Outcry

Outcry

November 2014

In Matthew 23:32,33, Jesus confirmed the reality of a truth from Genesis 15:15,16.  That truth is a divine judicial trigger called, ‘Fullness of iniquity’!  When fullness is reached, God initiates judgment that changes everything!  Genesis 15:15,16 says, “Now as for you, you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried at a good old age. But in the fourth generation they shall return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.”  In Matthew 23:32,33 Jesus says, “Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers’ guilt. Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?

What should church people do when they sense that ‘fullness of iniquity’ approaching?  The Egyptians filled the cup of iniquity in their treatment of the Israelites.  Exodus 2:23-25 says, “Now it happened in the process of time that the king of Egypt died. Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage. So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God acknowledged them.”  It is clear that the deep cry of the children of Israel moved the Heart of God.  What will our nation look like if God acknowledges the church’s deep intercessions?

Psalm 2:1-12 presents a picture of the church at war with politicians, judges and bureaucrats, where prayers kindle action!  Believers are assigned the job of restraining evil to gain a larger share of the harvest.  Psalm 2:1-12 says, “Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, ‘Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.’ He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress them in His deep displeasure: ‘Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.”’   Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, And rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.”  When the Israelites groaned under Pharaoh’s bondage, wrath was kindled and God revealed Himself as Judge in behalf of the Israelites!  God demonstrated His ability to deliver through the anointing when the cup of iniquity had become full!

It is time for Psalm 119:126 to become a rallying cry for American Christians.  It says, “It is time for you to act, O Lord, for they have regarded your law as void.” Together let’s write this simple, powerful verse on our minds and hearts. Let us pray that God will make void the decisions of every unrighteous judge. And that the Lord Himself will make void the power and influence of all politicians who push unrighteous legislation.  Then let us move forward to pray that God will cut off the peace of mind and nullify the vote of every individual who votes illegally. May our united groanings intensify as together we cry, “It is time for you to act, O Lord, for they have regarded your law as void.”
