Scripture: Revelation 1:5,6

Revelation 1:5,6 says, “…and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” So here we are again, first Kings and second Priests. Kings judge and go to war. Priests offer salvation. Why do we only hear about the Priestly side of who Christ is? Tradition has made the Word of God of no effect. But when we shift and determine that we will represent both the Priestly and Kingly as the Holy Spirit determines, then we open ourselves up to represent the fullness of Christ. And that makes life in the Kingdom a more mature and complete process. We have a reigning King who dwells within and He knows how to reign in any situation. Will we cling to our tradition or will we let the King reign?
